I dont make it a habit of bashing a boutique winery. I dont recall Alan ever beating anyone up either. There's just too much good to be said about the people who dedicate their lives to their passions. But an exception must be made for the above mentioned producer. You're not going to have an epic experience every time you pop a cork *or twist a cap ;), but there should be something about the juice you can respect. No trace of that here.
You'll notice there's no place on avawine.com to buy Clayhouse. I can buy bug and tar remover at Sears.

My little sis is getting married this summer and her best friend (who is actually dating Tony Fosco) wanted to have the bridal shower at Echo Lake. Had I heard of it? So I googled you. Sounds like you still have a razor sharp tongue! You still love good food and wine, even your plain grilled chicken and a good summer tomato. You still have your hair :) Sounds like you found a job that pays you to do all of your favorite things. I always thought you should find a way to get back into writing (one of your previously introverted talents). I don't think you wrote too much after Dave wiped out your journal on your laptop from the Castleton years. You are looking more and more like your dad. So, I am planning on taking a week in Napa for my 33rd b-day. I need a week to reflect. I am thinking of moving to N. CA in a few weeks. I have a pretty decent job offer pending. I really enjoyed your blog about stagnation. I have been feeling stagnant myself. Everything is "perfect' here, but I have stopped growing and feel that there has to be "something else out there". I wonder if you even read these comments? Anyway, any suggestions for vineyards in Napa?
